Images in Slate's Humble Beginnings
Images In Slate started its humble beginnings in 1996 as the idea of
two brothers, John and Chris Hurley of Newfoundland, Canada. From
their parents' two-car garage in North River, this family run
operation was busy hand crafting coasters from 500 million year old
slate found literally in their backyard.
Almost a decade later, Images In Slate has expanded its manufacturing
operations to include other products such as slate trivets, clocks,
welcome signs, stepping stones and architectural signage and plaques.
Images In Slate's customer-oriented team proudly provides slate
products and exceptional service to promotional product distributors,
retailers, signage dealers and builders throughout North America.
While it has outgrown the family garage, today Images In Slate still
prides itself on quality hand craftsmanship paying careful attention
to preserving the natural beauty and distinction of their 500 million
year old slate products.
Our Commitment and Guarantee
Images In Slate stands behind the quality of it's product and hand craftsmanship. Our slate carries a limited 25-year guarantee against breaking, cracking or fading in colour under normal usage while following our installation guidelines. The paint inlay is guaranteed not to peel or chip for 10 years, however slight oxidation in colour is normal and may occur.
Normal usage refers to mounting slate signs to a residential dwelling or other building structure. Our slate signage is not guaranteed against vandalism or misuse.
Slate signs intended and mounted for hanging cannot be guaranteed.
